🔔 Stripe Webhook Configuration

Required for automatic payment confirmations and notifications

⚠️ CRITICAL: Webhook Must Be Configured

Without proper webhook setup, guests won't receive confirmation emails and you won't get payment notifications. This is why you had to manually check Stripe yesterday.

Step 1: Copy Your Webhook URL

Your Webhook Endpoint URL:

Step 2: Configure in Stripe Dashboard

Go to Stripe Dashboard

Click "Add endpoint" or find your existing endpoint

If you already have an endpoint, click on it to edit

Paste your webhook URL

Use the URL copied above

Select these events to listen for:

checkout.session.completed

checkout.session.async_payment_failed

checkout.session.expired

payment_intent.payment_failed

Click "Add endpoint" or "Update endpoint"

Copy the Signing Secret

Click "Reveal" next to "Signing secret" and copy it (starts with whsec_)

This should already be set in your app secrets

✅ What Happens After Configuration

✓ Guest pays → Instant confirmation email sent to guest

✓ Guest pays → Instant notification sent to you (admin)

✓ Payment fails → You get notified immediately

✓ Booking dates automatically blocked

✓ No need to manually check Stripe anymore
